When we began our program in Nuwakot, the biggest problem we had observed was the dire conditions of the 9 public governmental schools housing over 1200 students.

The schools were in a horrible state of disrepair with windows, doors, roofs and much else falling apart. The schools had no toilet, no access to drinking water and even the most basic utilities were missing.

That prompted us to renovate the schools. We renovated the construction, the windows, doors and added toilets and drinking water facilities.
